The garnet family is one of the most complex in the gem world, it comprises multiple species and varieties. In this family, you will find stones in a variety of colors such as green, red, yellow, orange, and the most rare blue.Â
Here at Macha Studio, our garnets predominantly come from Tanzania in a deep red color. We also love Rhodolite garnets which display an intense raspberry color.Â
Care- Garnets are a very durable stone, rating a 6.5-7 on the Mohs Hardness scale, and are best stored separate from other gemstones to avoid scratches. Clean with soap and water and a soft cloth to buff.
